Fleet Commander (FC)

A Fleet Commander is an officer of the High Command who has risen to the rank of Grand Admiral. The Fleet Commander answers directly to the Imperial Command Authority on all matters concerning their respective Fleet. The Fleet Commander commands an entire Fleet, up to and past 100 ships, and is responsible for all ships under their command and the strategic and tactical positioning within their sector and systems of control. The Fleet Commander is repsonsible for the entire sector and systems therein that are loyal to the Empire.

Fleet Captain (FCPT)

A Fleet Captain is an officer of the High Command who has the rank of Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, Admiral or Fleet Admiral. The Fleet Captain answers directly to the Imperial Command Authority on all matters concerning their respective Fleet. The Fleet Captain commands an entire Fleet, up to and past 100 ships, and is responsible for all ships under their command and the strategic and tactical positioning within their sector and systems of control. The Fleet Captain is repsonsible for the entire sector and systems therein that are loyal to the Empire.

Task Force Commander (TFC)

A Task Force Commadner is in command of a task force assigned to a certain Fleet. Fleet Commanders and Fleet Captains typically break down their Core Fleet Force into several task forces for specific offensive and defensive postures. A task force usually consists of six capital ships. The Task Force Commander is responsible for the ships in their command and reports directly to the Fleet Commander or Fleet Captain of their respective Fleet.

Ship Commander (SC)

The ship commander is the one who is overall responsible for the conduct and handling of the ship and crew under his/her command. The ship commander is usually an officer with the rank of Rear Admiral and above. The Ship Commander reports directly to the Task Force Commander of their Task Force.

Ship Captain (SCPT)

A ship captain is one position below the Ship Commander and is in charge of the two wings or regiments on an ISD which accounts for a total of 144 personnel. They handle the day to day operations of the ISD and makes sure that all the officers and pilots onthat ship are performing at 100%. The Ship captain is not in any squadron nor the HC, they are stationed on that ship and on the bridge at all times. The job of ship captain is very demanding to say the least.

Wing Commander (WC) / Regiment Commander (RC)

A Wing / Regiment Commander commands six squadrons / platoons of TIE-Class starfighters / Ground troops on an Imperial Star Destroyer. Wing / Regiment Commanders make sure the squadrons/ Platoons under their command perform efficiently and successfully. These Wings / Regiments are each commanded by an Officer to whom all the Squadron/ Platoon Commanders in the Wing are expected to report regularly. The WC / RC is answerable to the Commander of the of the capital ship on which his/her Wing / Regiment is stationed but is generally the Wing / Regiment Commander that appoints Squadron / Platoon Commanders. He also approves and forwards all medal awards and promotion request nominations to the Fleet Commander from the Squadron / Platoon Commanders. All WCs / RCs are expected to be very active and be in full command of the 6 subordinate CMDRs / PCMDRs.

Wing Executive Officer (WXO) / Regiment Executive Officer (RXO)

A Wing/Regiment Executive Officer assists the Wing/Regiment Commander with the daily operations of the Wing/Regiment. They encourages participation among Wing/Regiment members and do other tasks that may be assigned to him by the WC/RC such as writing up squadron reports. The WXO/RXO also takes command in the event the WC/RC is on LOA.

Squadron Commander (CMDR) / Platoon Commander (PCMDR)

A Squadron / Platoon Commander commands a squadron / platoon of twelve pilots / soldiers. It is his duty to see that all his pilots are active and productive in Imperial Order activities. He manages the day to day operations of an Squadron; this includes maintaining continuous contact with Flight Members, Flight Leaders and making all sorts of internal decisions on Squadron positions, Ranks and Medal Awards. The CMDRs also must review battle and mission performance files sent in from Squadron Members and make recommendations to their Wing Commander for Medal awards and/or Rank/Position promotions. It should be noted that the Fleet Commander allows CMDRs a great deal of latitude in customizing a Squadron to its own particular talents. However, assigned fighters, Squadron Names and Squadron Objectives may not be altered . Squadron Commanders may select the Banners and Mottoes of their Squadrons by reporting directly to the Ship Commander and Wing Commander, respectively.

Squadron Executive Officer (SXO)/Platoon Executive Officer (PXO)

The SXO / PXO is the assistant to the Squadron / Platoon Commander. He/She attends to duties that the CMDR / PCMDR may be too busy to take care of. He encourages participation among Squadron members and does other tasks that may be assigned to him by the CMDR /PCMDR such as writing up squadron reports.

Flight Leader (FL)/Squad Leader (SL)

The Flight / Squad Leader is the commanding officer a Flight / Squad Member should contact with problems, questions or comments. The Flight / Squad Leader serves an important role in maintaining communication and order within a particular Flight / Squad Group in a Squadron / Platoon. The FL / SL is the leader of three other Flight / Squad Members. He maintains contact with his Flight / Squad Members and makes recommendations to the Squadron / Platoon Commander regarding individual Flight / Squad Member performance. In addition, the FL / SL is the first person a Flight / Squad Member should go with a request or question.

Flight Member (FM)/Squad Member (SM)

The Flight / Squad Member is a trained TIE Fighter pilot / ground trooper whose primary duty is to stay active and informed by familiarizing themselves with the IO, playing missions or battles and submitting to the Treatise Imperialis, the IO's monthly compendium. The Flight / Squad Member is a highly trained TIE Fighter Pilot / ground trooper. FM / SM submissions regarding new fiction, artwork, TIE Fighter / JK mission or battle ideas are highly encouraged.

Trainee

When an Applicant sends in a pilot file in which the minimum Entrance Requirements have not yet been met, the Training Officer will notify the Applicant who will then be assigned the rank of Flight Cadet / Cadet on the Roster but will be given only a "temporary" Position on the PLT Tigris until such time that the Flight Cadet / Cadet completes his/her Training. Training Squadrons / Platoons, stationed on the PLT Tigris are comprised solely of Flight Cadets / Cadets and their Instructors. Trainees are expected to attend IRC meetings and fly the training missions.
