Getting Started in The Imperial Order

How do I join?
To join the Imperial Order, click on the Membership Application link in the top left hand corner on the main Imperial Order page. This will take you to our membership application page. You will need to fill out all of the required information, be sure to read the application in its entirety before filling it out. By taking the time to read the instructions and filling out the application correctly, your application will be processed much faster.

OK, I've signed up. What happens next?
Membership application typically take 24 - 72 hours to process. Once your application has been processed you will receive an email from a member of the Training Office staff who will provide you with information about your initial training.

What does the training involve?
Training of new recruits involves learning about the operations, both daily and long-term, of the Imperial Order. It is a 30 day or less process, meaning if after 30 days you have not completed training, you will be dropped from the program unless you have a valid excuse. You will be required to read our manuals: Fleet Operations, Training, Code of Conduct, and the FAQ, to prepare you for the training exam. The exam will test your basic knowledge of the Imperial Order and serves as your entrance into full membership. If you pass the test, you will graduate.

What else should I do when I'm in training?
New recruits must sign up for the Imperial Holonet - one of our primary forms of communication. Signing up for these message forums allows you to interact with the other members of the Imperial Order, as well as read past messages to help you become better acquainted with the Imperial Order community. It is also highly recommended that you visit our IRC channel and meet your fellow members. There is always someone in the channel, and it would be beneficial to you as a new member to meet the people you'll be working with.

What happens after I graduate?
Once you have passed your training exam and performed the Oath of the Imperial Order, you will be assigned to an active unit onboard the Eclipse-class Star Destroyer Leviathan, the Command Ship of the Imperial Order. Your unit placement is dependant upon your primary game platform. Once you have been assigned to a unit by the Emperor himself, your new unit commander will contact you with initial orders and introduce you to your fellow unit members.

I've graduated and have been assigned to a unit, but I don't know what to do next.
If you are having trouble at any time during your Imperial Order career, the first person you should contact is your immediate superior. If you have been assigned to a unit, this would be your unit Commander. If you are unable to contact your unit Commander, follow the chain of command upwards until you do receive the assistance you require.
