The Colonies
The first Old Republic explorers and settlers to leave the Core Worlds colonized this adjacent region, which they called the Colonies. Over the millennia many of these planets becacame just as industrialized and wealthy as their old-world counterparts, though the antiquated term "Colonies" stuck. The Rebels used several planets in the Colonies as bases in their invasion of the Core Worlds.
