Squadron and Platoon's Orders and FAQ

Orders

1) You are to create a biography of your "persona" and a uniform. You can look for examples of how to do this at any of the squadron/platoon pages. If you need help making a uniform please refer to the Flight Office (http://www.virulent.de/FLO/uniforms/). There are also help tools available. Please follow the links.

2) You are to report in to the squadron/platoon commander on the date in which they set by e-mail and apprise him/her of what you have done over the past week. This is important to do even if you have done nothing over the past week. See the section on Reporting In below. Remember, 3 weeks without communication and you will be considered AWOL and removed from the roster.

3) You are to attend the Imperial Order meetings on a regular basis. All information about the Meetings can be found at the Communication Office (http://www.2ndfleet.org/co/)

4) Squadron Members are to fly Missions of Urgency (MoU) when they are issued by the Fleet Command. Also, if a new battle is released you are to participate when ever you have the gaming platform the battle is issued on.

5) Squadron members are to complete all the Imperial Order battles starting with the first one available for your gaming platform in a timely fashion. All battles are to be completed with a new pilot. Upon completion you are to submit the pilot file to the Squadron Commander for his/her review. All Imperial Order Missions, Levels and Battles are available at the Tactical Office (http://www.virulent.de/tactical/)

6) You are to participate in the gaming ladder of your main Imperial Order gaming platform. You will find more information about the ladder at the Imperial Order Ladder website (http://www.imperialorder.org/ladder/)

7) Finally and most importantly.....stay active. Only by staying active will you advance in the Imperial Order. Please refer below on how to stay active and for some answers to some questions that you may have.

FAQ

1) What is expected of me as a member of the Imperial Order?

As a member of the IO you must stay active. There are many things you can do to stay active. Attending meetings, submit files to the Treatise Imperialis, and participating in ladder competitions and Mission's of Urgency are just a few examples.

2) When and where are the Imperial Order meetings?

Imperial Order meetings are held every Monday at 5pm eastern standard time (23:00 central European time) on the IRC. The Imperial Order uses the DALnet server network and the channel is #Imperial_Order.

3.) Are these meetings important?

Absolutely. Alot of information is presented at the weekly meeting. It is HIGHLY encouraged that you attend the meeting.

4) What type of files can I submit to the Treatise Imperialis?

As long as it is Star Wars/Imperial Order related some examples are graphics, sound files, short stories, and even Tie Fighter, XvT and XWA missions as well as JK Levels that you have made. Remember all missions and Levels need to be approved by the Tactical Office before submittal.

5) How do I start/participate in a challenge match?

First you goto the Challenge Arena ComNet. If there is not a challenge currently in progress you may start one.

6) How important are MoUs?

MoUs are the most important missions to fly in the Imperial Order, if one comes out, you are expected to participate in it. If you are currently flying a battle you need to put it aside and fly the MoU. If you happen to post the best score you will be awarded some IC's and more importantly the {MoU} medal, which is quite the feather in any officers cap.

7) When and how much do I get paid?

Each member is paid at the first of every month. Your pay is based on your current rank. The payscale and paysheet is updated at least once per month and posted on the holonet.

8)What is the Code of Conduct for the Imperial Order?

The Code of Conduct is an outline on the expectations of your conduct when you are involved in an Imperial Order function. I highly suggest you read the CoC located at http://www.imperialorder.org/coc/ and follow it to the letter. It is hightly suggested that officers read it periodically throughout their career.

9)I can't seem to find out about ......., where do I go?

My first suggestion is to consult the Imperial Order FAQ. Most of the information on the Imperial Order is contained within this document. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, then ask your superior officer. For example, if you are a CM/FM you ask your FL, if he/she doesn't have the answer then he/she asks your SXO/CMDR or PXO/PCMDR etc. When the answer has been found it will be relayed back down the Chain of Command to you. It is important to use the Chain of Command in these instances, as it is important to keep each link in the Chain informed as to what is going on. Under no circumstances are any of the links be circumvented. If you are unsure of the Chain of Command, consult the Imperial Order FAQ.

- If one of your FM/SM's has not reported in, you are to inform your Commander of such and then promptly e-mail that FM/SM and inquire as to the reason they have not reported in. Should a member not report in for a period of three weeks, they will be listed as AWOL and be given an extra week in which to explain themselves or face being removed from the roster altogether.

Each CMDR/PCMDR is responsible for the activity, well being and protocol of ALL the officers under his/her command. In the event a member does not report in, as CMDR/PCMDR you are to immediately notify their FL/SL and have them e-mail said member and inquire as to why they have failed to report in. Should a member not report in for a period of three weeks, they will be listed as AWOL and be given an extra week in which to explain themselves or face being removed from the roster altogether.
