Twelve years have passed since the fateful Battle of Endor. The Empire has successfully regained control over many sectors and planetary systems that had fallen into Rebel hands, including the Imperial capital of Coruscant. The Imperial Fleet is once again a war machine of unstoppable power fueled by the desire to conquer and restore order throughout the Galaxy.
The Imperial Order rose to power four and a half years after the Battle of Endor. In the years between the Battle of Endor and the Imperial Order's formation, Grand Admiral Ged Larsen, along with the most loyal and dedicated servants of the Empire, rebuilt the scattered Imperial Fleets during this period of galactic upheaval. Striking from Outer Rim systems still loyal to the Empire, the forces of the Imperial Order battled their way towards the Galactic Core and Coruscant itself. Over the years, the Imperial Order gained system after system, until, five years after the Imperial Order was founded, Coruscant was re-taken and Rebels were driven away. It was after that momentuous battle, that Ged Larsen took the mantle of Emperor, in conjunction with Palpatine's wishes that the last surviving Grand Admiral succeed his throne.
After the Battle of Coruscant, and the Rebirth of the Empire in its rightful place on Coruscant, the Imperial Order enjoyed a time of relative peace and prosperity. The Rebel Alliance fell further into dissarray and became disjointed and fragmented. Through diplomacy and the hope for a better future, hundreds of star systems rallied to the Empire and proclaimed their loyalty to the new Emperor. Much has changed since those days...
With the short era of prosperity also came restlessness; mostly in the form of blood-thirsty, rogue Imperials who did not share the Imperial Order's vision of peace and order. Dissatisfied with the prospect of a glorious Empire, they defected and joined forces with the remaining Rebel cells and various Fringe groups. This new alliance between former enemies threatens the Empire at every turn, for these Rebels will stop at nothing in their mission to spread chaos and destroy order throughout the Galaxy...
Founded on January 1st, 1997, by Ged Larsen, the Imperial Order is an online Star Wars gaming group. Our allegiance is to the Empire and to our leader, Emperor Larsen, who is the head of the Imperial Order. Since its beginnings in 1997, the Imperial Order has recruited members from all over the globe and every walk of life. Our members have contributed their time, effort, and in some cases monetarily, to the continued operation of the group. The time and work put into the Imperial Order has given the club a firm foothold in the Star Wars universe on the Internet, as well as contribute to the betterment of its membership. Not only does the Imperial Order provide a productive and safe atomsphere where members can partake in their favorite games and allow them a chance to play the role of a loyal Imperial, it also provides a learning center where our members can learn new skills, many of which carry over into the real world.
The Imperial Order was founded on Star Wars gaming, and as such we support the following LucasArts titles: TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Galactic Battlegrounds and Battlefront. All of our members are highly encouraged to take part in the myriad of competitions, tournaments and challenges we offer in order to increase their game playing skill with the platform of their choice. We also encourage members to learn or utilize game editing skills, as we build custom missions and levels for each of our game platforms. Members also assist in building websites, creating graphics, writing stories and participating in Star Wars and Imperial Order discussions on our Holonet communication forums.
